Why UNBLIND:
Free From Blindness or Illusion?
UNBLIND is a concept i came up with a few years back after losing everything. Left with nothing i had to start over again. Many decades spent trying to get somewhere, to be someone, only to end up nowhere.
i tried to carry on as before, but what i once found easy was no longer working; it took twice the effort to do ten percent of work i used to do.
Unblind invites us to live up to a Central Purpose we’re being Called to do, to begin our Life’s Work, to begin The ONE Thing we have always wanted to do that can make sense of all the pain, aloneness, sorrow, and heartache we put ourselves through. To be Unblind is to bring our own unique Gift to the world that only you can bring when you do you. I am not a religious man, but the Bhagavad-Gītā, a story of the great warrior Arjuna on the battlefield is a great example of this philosophy.
Arjuna has sunk to the bottom of his chariot in the middle of the battlefield (a metaphor for life), he has become un-done by what he must do, he isn't reluctant to fight the war, he just doesn't know what to do.
Within the chariot is Krishna, the deity of Hindu theology; it is Krishna’s instruction to Arjuna about what he must do that constitutes the Gītā.
Krishna’s advice to Arjuna:
“Do Your Duty and Do Not Tremble Before It”
Arjuna is advised by Him, that in order to live, he must fulfil his Duty, his Purpose, Passion, Mission, or Vision, and he must not be afraid at what he must do, or shy away from what he is being asked, or Called to do in this life.
Arjuna is us; we are all Called to do something in this lifetime. To be UNBLIND: Free From Blindness or Illusion is about answering that Call to something greater within us, to finally grow-up and take responsibility for who we are, and how we are to live. To be UNBLIND is an invitation to take the first step we’ve been afraid to take along our own journey.

All the music i create is around the themes i've suggested (Calling, Life's Work, etc), to find the balance between the day-to-day Duties & Obligations we were born into, verses who we are, and need to be; to learn new stories to manage our world, so we can finally be true to our own Souls.
